Job Description
An excellent opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join an aerospace manufacturing site in Prestwick, overseeing daily facilities operations, planned preventative maintenance and contractor management. You'll ensure regulatory compliance through inspections and audits of fire systems, HVAC, water hygiene and asbestos, acting as the site's primary facilities contact and supporting project work as the business evolves. The package includes a discretionary bonus, 9% employer pension contribution, private healthcare, income protection and generous holiday entitlement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily facilities operations across the site
- Coordinate planned preventative maintenance and manage contractors
- Ensure regulatory compliance through inspections and audits of fire systems, HVAC, water hygiene and asbestos
- Act as the primary point of contact for all facilities matters
- Manage site services including security and cleaning
- Support project work, including layout modifications
- Monitor environmental performance and respond to emergencies
Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Knowledge of building services, including electrical, HVAC and plumbing
- Strong contractor management skills
- Understanding of EHS and statutory compliance requirements
- A hands-on, proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability
