Financial Controller

Partnership Recruiting have a new and exceptional opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function at our client’s brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Irvine. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Finance, you will provide financial leadership and strategic direction across the finance functions within the manufacturing facilities.

Package:

  • Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 (depending on experience)
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Plant to oversee financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting, forecasts, tax, and statutory accounts.
  • Actively contribute to executive management decisions, including insurance and capital investment appraisals.
  • Develop, present, and manage all budgets and forecasts, including reporting to the Managing Directors.
  • Oversee all accounting functions, including general accounting, tax returns, statutory accounts, management accounts, and cash management.
  • Implement and maintain effective financial and management controls to ensure the integrity of financial processes.
  • Ensure information systems and technology remain secure, up-to-date, and operational.
  • Manage the monthly salary process in collaboration with the Group HR team.

About You:

  • You are a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience across various finance disciplines.
  • You have proven experience managing, leading, and motivating teams at all levels.
  • Experience working in an ERP environment is advantageous.
  • You possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams.
  • You are highly organised, with excellent planning, multitasking, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen are essential.
  • You are an analytical thinker with high attention to detail.
