Job Description
Due to continued growth, we have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's established engineering team at their facility in Paisley. This is a permanent Monday–Friday dayshift role (6:30am – 3:00pm) with no weekend or shift work, offering a fantastic work-life balance, with overtime available at time and a half and double time on Sundays and Bank Holidays. As part of the engineering team, you will play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, minimising downtime and supporting continuous production through effective fault finding and preventative maintenance, within a recognised and successful manufacturing business offering long-term career prospects.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults quickly and efficiently to minimise production downtime
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across site equipment
- Support the ordering and management of engineering spare parts
- Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and associated equipment
- Work collaboratively with the wider engineering and production teams
- Promote and adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the plant
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in an Electrical Maintenance Engineer position
- A strong electrical maintenance background within a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience within the FMCG sector or a similar fast-paced production environment is preferred but not essential
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A proactive approach with a commitment to maintaining high engineering standards
