Job Description
We are looking for skilled Press Brake Setter/Operators to join our client's existing manufacturing team at their facility in Irvine — a leading specialist manufacturing business where you are more than just a number. The role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in sheet metal fabrication, producing high-quality components. It offers a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday 7am – 5pm (37.5 hours per week), with opportunities for overtime on Fridays when required. Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust press brake machines according to specifications and technical drawings
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently to produce precise sheet metal parts
- Monitor machine performance during production runs and make necessary adjustments
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot press brake equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and work orders
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, following health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, sheet metal work and press brake operation
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability
- Familiarity with hand tools, tooling and basic maths for precise adjustments
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and work with a variety of materials
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Comfortable working independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment
